“Designed by the Runners”

Since the first RUSH was released in 2015, the series has continued to evolve by reflecting the voices of its users. Looking back over the past 11 years, we have created more than 40 models. Sometimes I even find myself thinking, “We’re obsessed with development.”

But designing backpacks for the demanding sport of trail running never gets boring. The challenge is always the same: how can we reduce physical stress, like shoulder pain, and mental stress, such as difficulty accessing gear? And how can we solve these problems in a design that is both stylish and rational?

To answer these questions, we have listened to countless runners at races and events, and repeated an enormous number of prototypes and field tests. It is not glamorous work. It takes patience and persistence. But this is the way we develop products at Paago Works.

For this new generation of RUSH, many runners were again involved in the process, leading to a significant evolution. We want RUSH to be the ideal tool created by runners themselves. That idea is captured in the phrase “Designed by the Runners.”

If you ever see someone wearing a RUSH on the trail, we hope you’ll remember those words.
