DESIGNER'S VOICE
Since the first RUSH was released in 2014, it has been used by many runners. Every time I met them at race venues and trails all over the country, it was my greatest pleasure as a designer to hear their impressions of the RUSH's usability and impressions, and it became the driving force for the next development. After making the RUSH UT, which was developed for ultra-trail use, the user base has expanded further, the demands for design have become more sophisticated, and the motivation of designers has risen steadily. It's a miracle circulation that one backpack gave me.
Pergoworks calls this cycle “Product Communication”. This is our ideal way of making things, valuing the communication that comes from the product and creating new products from that communication.
Yes, this development has become a project that feels full of product communication. I will omit the details because they are scheduled to be posted on this site's "development secret story", but anyway, this time, based on many user surveys, many prototypes were created and many tests were conducted. Field test with 10 unique and attractive runners, ask for feedback, and modify the sample. As a result of doing this work many times with all items, I was able to hand-make more than 150 prototypes by myself. In the early stages of design, I made many bags that were not at all similar to RUSH, and in the final stage of development, I made small modifications that even I could not tell the difference. I'm just plain crazy! !
What I realized while doing this tremendous work is that "The RUSH I designed has become 'Everyone's RUSH'." I thought I was making it for everyone, but it's not. Everyone's opinion moved me to make RUSH. That's why I made this word with the meaning of gratitude.
“Designed by the runners”
Come on, let's run with everyone's RUSH on our backs. Pack and go!
