Comfortable High Center of Gravity

WEIGHT BALANCE

All the BUDDY series has a inverted trapezoidal design with a higher center of gravity balance. By carrying your luggage in higher place of your body, you can feel comfortable with it.

MAIN ACCESS

The unique main body can be opened diagonally, so you can easily reach items stored at the bottom of the bag.

Pocket Layouts

TOP POCKET

Store frequently used items in the zippered waterproof top pocket, which was designed to be opened and closed easily. A mesh pocket is also provided inside.

FRONT POCKET

Store frequently used items in the zippered waterproof top pocket, which was designed to be opened and closed easily.

SIDE POCKETS

The side pockets have a large capacity and can be reached without putting down the bag. The opening can be adjusted with a drawcord.

BACK POCKET

The back pocket can be used to store hydration packs or laptops.

GEAR LOOPS

The four gear loops can be used in a variety of ways depending on your needs. The attached side strap can also be moved to any position you want.

DETACHABLE BACK PANEL

The detachable back panel is unique and helps to keep the bag clean. Remove it and dry it while you are taking a break on your hike or wash it when you reach home.

ブランドを始めて数年したころ、ある知人に「もっと尖った商品は出さないの？」と言われたことがあります。PATHFINDER , CARGO , RUSHなど、これまで世の中になかった道具を作ってきた自分にとって、この言葉は正直言って心外でした。

野外道具である以上、誰でも無理なく安全に使えることが大事。そして同時に誰も見たことがないものを作るのが自分の使命。だから「丸いけど尖っている」商品がパーゴワークスが生み出す製品なのです。

この春に登場したBUDDYはまさにそんなバックパックです。一見オーセンティックなデザインで、道具としての汎用性も高い。だけどよく見れば基本構造からディテールに至るまでとてもユニーク。開発段階においてはシンプルな一本締めから始まりロールトップやバックサイドオープンまで、いくつかの試作＆テストからはじめ、最終的にはRUSH28と同じ「高重心設計」を採用しました。開口部が体側に大きく開き、スタビライザーで重心を肩甲骨に寄せるというユニークな構造です。一方で素材は軽量かつタフ、誰もが気負わず使える風合いにこだわりました。さらに各部の収納力とアクセス性はRUSH28より向上させています。まさしく「丸いけど尖っている」バックパックの誕生です。
