In the mountains or in the city
A 24L backpack you can use exactly the way you want

For those who walk their own way
ALK CONCEPT
ALK is a series designed around the concept of “in the mountains or in the city,” aiming to be just the right backpack. It offers comfortable carry, practical usability for walking anytime and anywhere, and a balance of lightweight durability.
ALK 24 FEATURE
ALK24 is a daypack characterized by its large top pocket. It focuses on a practical capacity and an easy-access pocket layout. A standard model that can be used just the way you want—from everyday city use to hiking and travel.
A well-balanced design
FITTING
It uses the same wide shoulder harness as the ZENN backpack. The pack’s load is distributed across the entire ribcage, providing greater stability. It reduces bounce while walking and also lessens strain on the shoulders.
MAIN ACCESS
It features a water-resistant zipper and a quick-access design that opens wide toward the body side. This makes it convenient when commuting on trains or taking breaks in the mountains.
TOP POCKET
The top pocket features the large capacity inherited from BUDDY. It is ideal for storing items you want quick access to, such as snacks or gloves. The water-resistant zipper helps protect your gear from rain. A key hook is included inside.
FRONT POCKET
Ideal for storing rainwear or a wind shell. The zipper layout is designed so it does not interfere with the side belts or bungee cords. A water-resistant zipper is used.
SIDE POCKET
Sized to hold a 500 ml PET bottle. Designed with a depth that makes it easy to access while preventing items from falling out. Once you get used to it, you can operate it while wearing the pack.
INSIDE POCKET
The two included side straps can be repositioned to your preferred location. They can secure items like trekking poles or other gear.
HARNESS POCKETS
The shoulder harness includes a zip pocket that can hold a smartphone or a 500 ml PET bottle, allowing smooth access even while on the move.
FRONT INSIDE POCKET
The inner pocket on the front panel is ideal for storing items you want to keep on hand, such as rainwear.
MAIN FABRIC
The main fabric uses strong yet lightweight ROBIC 66 nylon with a polycarbonate coating on the surface. It resists water and dirt, making it easy to maintain.
BUNGEE CORD
The front bungee cord is convenient for temporarily securing items such as a wind shell. It can also be removed if not needed.
ATTACHMENT RINGS
There are rings at the lower ends of the harness for attaching a chest bag. SWITCH, PATHFINDER, and FOCUS can be used as front bags.
REMOVABLE BACK PANEL
The back panel, which tends to get dirty from sweat, can be removed for washing. When cleaning, do not use a washing machine. Hand wash in lukewarm water and dry in the shade.

DESIGNER'S VOICE
The name ALK comes from the Japanese word “aruku”—to walk. Walking is a fundamental human activity and the foundation of outdoor life. That will never change. Yet in today’s rapidly advancing information society, the reality is that humans no longer need to move to go anywhere. “Walking = moving” has always gone hand in hand with curiosity about the outside world—perhaps that’s what we call the spirit of adventure. When information was scarce, people probably walked more and explored more.
Thinking about this led to a simple idea: let’s create a product that supports everyone’s desire to walk. A backpack that lets you walk anytime, anywhere. That thought sparked the designer’s spirit.
Surprisingly, the development process was smoother than usual. Not the usual ups and downs. In fact, it may have been the smoothest development we’ve ever had. That’s because we had already built and tested countless prototypes through the development of RUSH and ZENN, and we had continued refining derivative models from BUDDY. Drawing on all that experience in backpack development, the project moved forward quickly.
Of course, there were still challenges. The back-side opening of ALK30 was especially difficult. We repeatedly prototyped the frame and back panel to improve accessibility without compromising carrying comfort. Designing the front panel was another challenge. We wanted it to be compatible with ZENN optional parts while still having its own identity, different from ZENN. After many trials and adjustments, it ended up looking like a close relative of ZENN—and we’re quite happy with that.
There are many more development stories behind it, but just as the tagline suggests, ALK is designed to be easy to use both in the mountains and in the city—a backpack that makes you want to walk anytime, anywhere.
So put on your ALK, follow your curiosity, and start walking.
